The Supervisor Leadership & Communication Inventory © (SLCI) is a diagnostic tool that measures supervisor communication/leadership, employee behavior, and organizational performance. Using a stoplight metaphor (red, yellow, or green), the SLCI to categorizes organizations and makes recommendations for improvement. Below are some items used in a SLCI assessment.       Supervisors treat individual employees differently and often show favoritism to some.
      Supervisors communicate effectively.
      Employees do only what they are told to do.
      Supervisors make quick rather than well thought-out decisions.
      Supervisors frequently change strategic directions.
      Supervisors are consistently willing to be involved with work and employees.
      Instead of working to avoid difficulties, supervisors tend to act only after problems ‘flare up.’
